As a church, we want to break through the walls of false security that can come from religion. This false security stems from an unconscious belief that if a person can be just good enough, follow the right rules, and stay away from the wrong things, then a person can earn God’s love and forgiveness. We want to see this religious identity not grounded in the Gospel be replaced with the truths of the Gospel itself. Elizabethton needs the Gospel, and it is for this reason we exist.

We desire to equip our church members with a clear understanding of the Gospel and train them how to open their mouths and use their words to speak Gospel truths to their family members, coworkers, and neighbors throughout the city and the world. We long to be a church on mission, viewing our lives in light of 2 Corinthians 5:14 - that Christ died so we would no longer live for ourselves, but rather that our lives would be lived for Jesus and His Kingdom. That’s why at Red Stone Church Elizabethton we seek to be disciples who make disciples.
